About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at the Best Western Plus Norwester Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our hotel and resort facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of hotel and resort facilities, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, as well as operating industrial vacuum cleaners and other equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and maintenance on appliances, heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the hotel's grounds, including lawns, gardens, and snow removal.
  • Housekeeping: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, as well as perform other routine housekeeping tasks.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including urban areas and hotel environments.
