Job Summary

At Alpine Meadows Resort Inc., we are seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room assignments, and ensuring seamless check-in and check-out processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Process group arrivals and departures, ensuring accurate room assignments and balances.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services, including dining options, recreational activities, and local attractions.
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
  • Perform clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying, as needed.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest concerns and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a front office or customer service role

Work Environment

The Front Desk Agent will work in a fast-paced front office environment, interacting with guests and staff on a regular basis. This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Language Requirements

The successful candidate will be proficient in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
