Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation Services Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team in a care setting. As a Physiotherapist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical histories and perform standardized tests to determine physical diagnoses
- Develop holistic treatment programs using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical, and hydrotherapy techniques
- Communicate effectively with other health disciplines, patients, family members, and caregivers regarding health promotion, treatment, and patient management
- Supervise and evaluate physiotherapy students and assistants
- Collaborate with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, evaluate team effectiveness, and solve problems
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist with:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
- Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
- Strong computer skills, including statistics input and word processing
- Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
- Annual Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System training and certification (WHMIS)
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Competencies in other languages, with French being an asset
- Permanent Full-time position, 75 hours bi-weekly
- Shifts include weekends in a rotational schedule
- Some travel between sites may be required
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $42.89 and may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
Additionally, successful candidates may be eligible for a signing bonus and relocation assistance with a defined Return of Service contract.
