Health Services Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Services Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Dynacare. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest quality of laboratory services.
Key Responsibilities- Procure blood samples and other laboratory specimens with precision and care.
- Enter requisitions and process samples for transportation accurately and efficiently.
- Provide outstanding customer service to create a positive patient experience.
- Display empathy, care, and kindness when interacting with patients, particularly in stressful situations.
- Contribute to the collection and processing of laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the laboratory team to meet quality metrics, regulatory compliance, and quality indicators.
- Secondary School diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and understandably to patients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable mode of transportation to travel between locations.
