Health Services Laboratory Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure blood samples and other laboratory specimens with precision and care.
  • Enter requisitions and process samples for transportation accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, creating a positive and reassuring experience for patients.
  • Work collaboratively with laboratory staff to ensure smooth sample processing and testing.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to Dynacare's mission and values.
Requirements:
  • Secondary School diploma and completion of a Laboratory Assistant training program or Medical Lab Assistance course with specialized training in phlebotomy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and laboratory staff.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Reliable mode of transportation to travel between Dynacare locations in the region.
