Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team at Englobe. As a key member of our Materials team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our geotechnical services.
Key Responsibilities- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in daily field and laboratory operations to provide geotechnical services, including laboratory testing and equipment calibration.
- Oversee and conduct laboratory tests, including compressive strength testing, soil and aggregate gradation, and asphalt extraction.
- Monitor and conduct field testing to ensure adherence to protocols and standards.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients, laboratory supervisor, and field and lab technicians/technologists.
- Assist with scheduling work, monitoring utilization, and time sheets for direct reports.
- Ensure accurate sample logs and maintenance of equipment and work area.
- Record test data, prepare reports, and summaries for interpretation of results.
- Oversee work quality of field and laboratory technicians, including data verification and work process audits.
- Assist with maintenance of data base of records containing calibration certificates and equipment manuals.
- Participate in laboratory correlation and accreditation assessment programs.
- Train field and laboratory technologists and technicians.
- Make recommendations to control or eliminate unsafe conditions in the workplace.
- No degree requirements. Entry-level position.
