Senior Cost Controller

Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Controller to join our team on the Scarborough Transit Connect project. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project by effectively managing costs and providing accurate financial information.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement cost control plans and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist with contract management and payments, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including project financial status reports and earned revenue determination data.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate cost risks, ensuring the project is delivered within budget.
- Develop and implement measurement systems to track project performance and identify areas for improvement.
- 5-7 years of experience in cost control in construction, with a strong understanding of financial reporting systems and controller account codes.
- Accreditation from AACEI or CIQS is an asset.
- College and/or university degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
