Senior Cost Controller

About the Opportunity
Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Controller to join our team on the Scarborough Transit Connect project in Scarborough. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project by providing accurate and timely cost control and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project cost control plans, including detailed manpower utilization plans and budgeting standards.
- Assist with contract management and payments, ensuring compliance with contract conditions and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze project financial reports, including earned value management and cost performance reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in cost control and project management in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes.
- Accreditation from AACEI or CIQS is an asset.
- College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
