Responsibilities
  • Provide call coverage
  • Care for inpatients at Cape Breton Regional Hospital
  • Consult and refer to other medical practitioners
  • Act as a patient advocate
  • Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations
Expected Hours
  • Physician's choice: part-time, full-time, locum
Qualifications
  • All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
  • All family physicians must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
  • All specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association
  • All applicants must have a current Certification
