As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvements in our Cocoon product line. Your expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design improvements that increase product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Investigate product complaints and non-conformances, and develop corrective actions to address design-level issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement product updates and new features.
  • Apply risk-based approaches to product design activities using xFMEA methodology.
  • Generate and review technical documentation, including investigative pursuits, conceptual design, and mechanical drawings.
  • Develop and implement design for manufacturing and assembly strategies to optimize product manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, such as mechanical or biomedical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development in a regulated industry, such as medical devices.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
  • Experience with CAD systems, such as SolidWorks, and design for manufacturing and assembly principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
