Your Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Municipal Development Engineer to join our Land Development team in Kingston, ON. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing detailed engineering design solutions and input on the design process for complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engineering design solutions for municipal infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with clients, municipal approving authorities, and contractors to ensure project success
  • Monitor project schedules and budgets, and report status as required
  • Pursue necessary approvals and permits for projects
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other software applications to deliver high-quality results
  • Participate in business development efforts, including proposal writing and pricing
  • Coordinate design and field staff to ensure project delivery
  • Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all sites

What We're Looking For

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in municipal infrastructure and land development design and construction
  • Brownfield redevelopment experience is an asset
  • University Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management experience
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft software applications
  • Working knowledge of modeling programs for stormwater management and water distribution
  • Organized, works well under pressure, and able to deal with situations with tact
  • A valid driver's license and vehicle are required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform individually or as a member of project teams
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
