About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Construction Crew Foreman/Manager to join our team at Mr. Lawnmower Landscaping Services Ltd. in Scarborough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our landscape construction crew, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications for projects
  • Complete daily job site journals and work orders
  • Conduct weekly toolbox meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns
  • Assist with maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and equipment
  • Operate various pieces of equipment, including heavy machinery
  • Hold a valid Class G License and provide own transportation to project sites
  • Work weekends and long hours as required
  • Schedule materials and equipment for the next day
  • Schedule and run crews to ensure efficient project completion
  • Plant trees, shrubs, and lay sod as required
  • Rake, level, and grade landscapes to ensure even terrain
  • Install hard and soft landscapes, including wet lay and asset installation
Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • CLT/CLP or Two-year technical college certificate in horticulture an asset
  • Valid first aid certificate an asset
  • WHMIS training an asset
  • 2-4 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field
