Project Manager Job Description

Gerry Enns Contracting, a leading construction company in the Fraser Valley, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee various projects in the Okanagan region.

Purpose and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient completion. Key duties include:

  • Coordinating with project stakeholders, engineers, architects, and clients to determine project specifications
  • Negotiating contracts, awarding contracts, and managing subcontractors
  • Reviewing shop drawings for coordination and submitting RFIs and Submittals
  • Developing and planning project requirements, including manpower, equipment, and materials
  • Coding job costs and reporting on financial project status
  • Chairing project meetings and developing project schedules
  • Writing scope of work documents and supervising staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial/Residential Project Manager
  • In-depth understanding of construction and project management principles
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience with Worksafe BC safety standards
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project
  • Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint an asset
  • PMP or equivalent certification would be an asset
  • Red Seal trade qualification is an asset
  • Experience with Multi-family projects
  • Valid Driver's License

The salary range for this position will be discussed during the interview stage, taking into consideration candidate qualifications and experience.
