At BIG RIGS TRUCK CENTRE, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Order parts and maintain inventory
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Keep maintenance reports and documentation
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks
  • Service attachments and working tools
  • Perform other routine maintenance
Work Environment

The ideal candidate will be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a variety of weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
