Job Title: Heavy Truck Mechanic

At BIG RIGS TRUCK CENTRE, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. You will diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required. Your duties will also include ordering parts, maintaining inventory, adjusting equipment, and repairing or replacing defective parts. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping maintenance reports and documentation, testing repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensuring that work meets manufacturers' specifications. You will also perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work. Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions

  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity
  • Ability to work in a team environment
