Job Title

Delivery Director

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide strategic direction and overall management of construction activities on assigned subway project segments and contracts.
  2. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with delivery service providers to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and negotiate partnership agreements that align with project objectives.
  4. Meet regularly with client leaders, delivery supply chain leaders, and stakeholder leaders to assess progress, resolve critical issues, and mitigate risk.
  5. Manage the interface between clients, stakeholders, and delivery service providers.
  6. Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction contractors to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions.
  7. Govern project activities relating to preliminary constructability development, alternative technical concepts, and design variances.
  8. Drive critical decision-making on highly technical and complex issues related to design and construction progress.
  9. Monitor design and construction contractors throughout every phase of the project, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and objectives.
  10. Manage contractors, suppliers, and vendors relationships to optimize collaboration, resource utilization, and mitigate project risk.
  11. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
  12. Establish a digital infrastructure for construction administration and field operations.
  13. Ensure the resolution of claims and dispute submissions initiated by design and/or construction contractors.
  14. Advance the development and implementation of scope, policies, and plans, with construction management, standards, technical requirements, infrastructure development, and system development.
  15. Tailor communication to various levels of stakeholders about project status, concerns, and actions.
  16. Assess the capability of project resources to accomplish current and future work, ensuring sound planning of project resourcing.
  17. Provide the final review and approval of completed material planning to successfully deliver construction contract administration services.
  18. Ensure goals are met, including customer satisfaction and staff performance.
  19. Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project and program life cycle.
  20. Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure goals are achieved.
  21. Facilitate project focus or function meetings with a focus on service initiatives.
  22. Plan for and meet with stakeholders to streamline transparent project communications.
  23. Reinforce acceptable standards of workmanship through every stage of the project.
  24. Build and maintain a positive, high-performing team culture with an openness to constructive challenge and continuous improvement.
  25. Monitor and manage project staff performance to ensure excellence in results and a focus on performance objectives.
  26. Promote a project environment that is inclusive and diverse, celebrating our differences.
Working Conditions

Office-based

Qualifications Required
  1. Minimum of 18 years of experience in construction services in the area of specialty.
  2. Proven track record in establishing and managing delivery partnerships within the construction industry.
  3. Extensive experience overseeing tunneling projects, particularly within the context of underground station construction.
  4. Experience and understanding of relevant regulations and industry best practices related to underground construction to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with tunneling operations.
  5. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in an Engineering or Construction Management field.
  6. Mastery of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance.
  7. In-depth knowledge of applicable construction-related software.
  8. Effectively anticipates, identifies, and minimizes risks.
  9. Proven success in providing on-site leadership to multi-resource Construction Management teams.
  10. Keen on sustainability, social responsibility, and making a positive environmental impact.
  11. Adept at taking the lead on potentially risky technical decisions related to construction management services with minimal supervision.
  12. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  13. Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from others.
  14. Demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal) in a demanding multidisciplinary project environment.
  15. Expert ability to work collaboratively and independently on creative and analytical tasks in a structured, disciplined, technology-driven environment.
  16. Proficiency in taking ownership and efficiently managing resources to identify, solve, and overcome challenges.
