Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Program Delivery Director to join our Canadian Tire Technology Department. As a leader on the Solution Delivery Team, you will be responsible for implementing the Triangle Rewards Loyalty Platform for Canadian Tire, its partners, and customers.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple programs or initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination between various stakeholders within a collaborative Agile methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Program Plans: Create comprehensive program plans that define objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage stakeholders, including executives, Business sponsors, and team members, maintaining regular communication to manage expectations and gather feedback.
  • Program Governance: Establish program governance structures, including working committees or steering committees, to provide oversight and guidance.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate and obtain resources across multiple squads from within and outside the Loyalty Platform Team.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor the progress of team delivery, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and milestones.
  • Schedule and Budget Management: Oversee the management of changes in program scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate Quarterly Planning events (PI Planning) sessions to raise milestones, issues, dependencies, etc.
  • Risk Management: Drive the decision-making process, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
  • Post-Mortem Analysis: Provide post-mortem/root cause analysis for significant issues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a technology-driven organization.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience managing medium to large-sized ($2M-$10M) complex projects.
  • Experience managing projects with multiple 3rd party vendors.
  • Good understanding of SAFe.
  • Experience with Scrum & Kaban and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver complex projects within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $165,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a hybrid work model allowing for flexibility and work-life balance.
