Job Summary

CIMA+ is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Industrial Mechanical Director to lead our team in executing multiple mandates and large-scale projects in the Energy and Resources sector. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, mentorship, and leadership to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Leadership: Lead a team of approximately 15 people in executing multiple mandates or large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery and production according to established deadlines and priorities.
  2. Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Provide mentorship for less-experienced resources while sharing relevant knowledge and expertise in the industrial and automation sector.
  3. Technical Expertise: Act as a technical reference in the industrial and automation sector, finding solutions for complex engineering challenges and providing timely support in the review and accuracy of drawings and specifications.
  4. Client Liaison: Act as a liaison with clients to track project progress, ensuring that their opinions and requests are taken into consideration.
  5. Health and Safety: Ensure continuous monitoring of employees working on clients' premises, with respect to compliance with health and safety standards.
  6. Contractual Follow-ups: Perform contractual follow-ups, write amendments, and monitor the financial progress of contracts.
  7. Team Growth: Ensure sustainable growth of the team, providing opportunities for career progression and professional development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or considerable experience in automation.
  • Professional Certifications: Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, proficiency in financial concepts and budget monitoring, proven project management skills, and negotiation skills.
