Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to lead our Industrial Mechanical team in the Energy and Resources sector in Montreal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, leadership experience, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead a team of approximately 15 people in executing multiple mandates or large-scale projects.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to less-experienced resources while sharing relevant knowledge and expertise.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a technical reference in the industrial and automation sector, finding solutions for complex engineering challenges.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as a liaison with clients to track project progress, ensuring their opinions and requests are taken into consideration.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure continuous monitoring of employees working on clients' premises, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Design and Review: Provide timely support in reviewing and accuracy of drawings and specifications, testing plans, and engineering designs.
  • Team Growth: Ensure sustainable growth of the team, fostering a collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or considerable experience in automation.
  • Professional Membership: Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, proficiency in financial concepts and budget monitoring, proven project management skills, and negotiation skills.
