Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Data Advisor to assist us in providing excellent service, ensuring all aspects of client needs are met and exceeded.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reconciling accounts and posting journal entries.
- Calculating fixed assets and depreciation.
- Performing bookkeeping and payroll duties including staff & client payrolls, bank deposits & reconciliations, accounts payable, and other client payments.
- Answering phone and in-person inquiries related to client payroll.
- Performing clerical and other related duties as required.
- Maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.
- Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll.
- Preparing statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
- Keeping financial records and establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Making updates using the client's accounting software, including posting to general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and reviewing reports.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate should have:
- At least 2 years' experience in full cycle bookkeeping procedures.
- PAYROLL DESIGNATION & EXPERIENCE CONSIDERED AN ASSET.
- 2 years' experience in Bookkeeping.
- 2 years' experience in Personal tax preparation is mandatory.
- 2 years' experience in QuickBooks Online is required.
- Tech Stack experience including integration of apps is considered an asset.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks online are required.
- Experience in preparation of Notice to Reader statements would be an asset.
- Experience in the management of multiple government contracts and knowledge of Provincial and Federal financial reporting requirements would be an asset.
- An understanding of the Provincial and Federal bidding systems.
- Excellent computer skills and willingness to upgrade such skills, as required.

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
