Project Director

BFL Canada is seeking a skilled Project Director to lead our project management office coordination.
- Understand third-party project agreements and enforce those agreements from a financial standpoint.
- Maintain a record of project invoices and ensure payments are made on time.
- Track, document, and update project budgets for the entire project portfolio.
- Prepare monthly project portfolio budget reports to the CIO to control project costs.
- Align technology leads on project progress through monthly project portfolio meetings, including updates on projects, hosting meetings, and sending meeting notes and action items.
- Formulate recommendations for improving project management practices.
Project Management and Leadership
- Initiate and plan small-size projects, establish, and maintain timelines.
- Understand project scope and maintain the original scope as well as changes.
- Establish and maintain a climate of trust with project teams, including technology and business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
- Host project meetings and take meeting minutes, including kickoff, status review, sprint review, escalation, and upper leadership meetings.
- Ensure tasks in the project plan are completed on time and understand the impact of delays on the overall timeline and dependency between tasks.
- Manage project budget, including vendors and internal resource allocation.
- Document risk, decision, and change logs.
- Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.
