As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams to ensure the efficient delivery of goods across multiple warehouse locations. Your expertise in procurement and vendor management will drive new product growth, maximize profitability, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Your Responsibilities- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to optimize profitability and minimize costs.
- Drive new product growth by researching, evaluating, and sourcing vendors and products that meet our quality standards.
- Manage vendor relationships, addressing performance issues and discrepancies to maintain high-quality service.
- Ensure inventory replenishment across multiple locations to meet customer demand while analyzing supply chain data to recommend process improvements.
- Develop and implement inventory control measures to reduce backorders and optimize stock levels, resulting in cost savings and improved efficiency.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, combined with 5-7 years of experience in purchasing within the hard-goods distribution industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships, as well as the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Technical expertise in ERP systems, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and proficiency in managing a high volume of SKUs within hard goods distribution.
The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
