Job Title: Sushi Chef

Midori is seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and experienced Sushi Chef to lead our kitchen team. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for Japanese cuisine and a proven track record of delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items
  • Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment
  • Manage inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads
Work Environment
