Job Title: Compliance Officer - Financial

beBee Professionals is seeking a skilled Compliance Officer - Financial to join our team in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the company's financial activities are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Monitor and review financial transactions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Investigate and resolve compliance issues
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory bodies
  • Keep up to date with changes in applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide advice and guidance to other departments on compliance matters
  • Assist with the development of internal controls
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation of audit reports
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory filings


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in a financial compliance role
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
