Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at AmerisourceBergen. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy.
  • Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work independently to label and fill/refill prescriptions, and perform a double check for repeat prescription releases.
  • Verify that customers receive the correct prescription(s) and identify potential therapeutic issues.
  • Work collaboratively with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities.
  • Prepare and review billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents.
  • Assist patients with prescription pickups and enter prescriptions into the computer system.
  • Screen calls and gather relevant information for the Pharmacist.
  • Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications.
  • Review invoices and other documentation.
  • Pack and ship prescription orders.
  • Receive and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Bridging Program.
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Kroll and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
