We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Innomar Strategies. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy;
- Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders;
- Work independently to label and fill/refill prescriptions;
- Perform a double check for repeat prescription releases;
- Verify that customers receive the correct prescription(s);
- Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek the Pharmacist's input;
- Work collaboratively with Innomar Strategies and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities;
- Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents;
- Assist patients picking up prescriptions;
- Enter prescriptions into the computer and retrieve/correct data;
- Screen calls and gather relevant information for the Pharmacist;
- Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications;
- Review invoices and other documentation;
- Pack and ship prescription orders;
- Receive and maintain accurate inventory;
- Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal/contractual obligations;
- The Pharmacy Technician is required to renew their OCP Registration annually and participate in the Quality Assurance Process regularly;
- Additional duties and tasks may be assigned as required.
- Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or OCP Bridging Program and Certificate of Registration with OCP;
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience;
- Strong proficiency in Kroll required;
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
