Pharmacy Technician Role

AmerisourceBergen is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Canada. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in managing the daily workload and collaborating with pharmacists and pharmacy assistants to fulfill prescription orders.
- Work independently to label and fill/refill prescriptions, perform double checks, and verify customer receipt of correct prescriptions.
- Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek the pharmacist's therapeutic check.
- Collaborate with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities.
- Prepare and process billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents.
- Assist patients picking up prescriptions, enter prescriptions into the computer, and retrieve/correct data.
- Screen calls, gather relevant information, and order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications.
- Review invoices and other documentation, pack and ship prescription orders, and receive and maintain accurate inventory.
- Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal and contractual obligations.
- Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or successful completion of Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Bridging Program and a Certificate of Registration with OCP.
- Two or more years of related pharmacy experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kroll required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
