Chief Officer and Second-in-Command

Are you a seasoned professional looking for a challenging role in the maritime industry? We are seeking a Chief Officer and Second-in-Command to join our team at Fisheries and Oceans Canada- Canadian Coast Guard - Fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Commanding Officer in the general work, cleanliness, and good order of the ship.
  • Oversee the operations of the vessel, including crane operations, winch operations, and trawl operations.
  • Manage shore-based Fleet/Shipboard Management positions, including duration and duties performed.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Canada Medical requirements for seagoing personnel.
  • Work overtime as required and possess a valid Canadian Passport.
Requirements:
  • Successful training in one or more of the following areas: Crane Operators Course, Deckhand experience on a commercial fishing vessel, experience operating cranes, winches, and trawls.
  • Valid Health Canada Medical for seagoing personnel.
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime as required.
  • Valid Canadian Passport.
