Chief Officer and Second-in-Command

Are you a seasoned maritime professional looking for a challenging role? We are seeking a Chief Officer and Second-in-Command to join our team at Fisheries and Oceans Canada- Canadian Coast Guard - Fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Commanding Officer in the general work, cleanliness, and good order of the ship.
  • Oversee the deck operations and ensure the safe navigation of the vessel.
  • Manage the crew and ensure they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
Requirements:
  • Valid Health Canada Medical for seagoing personnel.
  • Valid Canadian Passport (for identified positions).
  • Experience as a Deckhand on a commercial fishing vessel.
  • Experience operating cranes, winches, and trawls.
  • Experience in shore-based Fleet/Shipboard Management positions.
