Nurse Field and Infusion Specialist

At Innomar Strategies, we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures. As a Field and Infusion Nurse (RPN/LPN), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in home or specialty clinic settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications (IM, SC, and IV as applicable) in accordance with program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation.
- Support and monitor the administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting.
- Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments and chart/report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation.
- Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints in accordance with Innomar training and policies & procedures.
- Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information.
- Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other duties as assigned.
- Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
- Participate in specialized client-related trainings as required.
- Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs.
- Required to travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs.
- Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and Work Instructions.
- Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and Safety Act.
- Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within specified timeframes.
- Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by the professional associations, regulatory bodies, and the company policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar.
- May be required to be on standby/on call to meet service needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience with IV therapy is an asset.
- Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field.
- Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate.
- Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting.
- ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets.
- Knowledge of cell phone for making and confirming appointments/assignments and fax machines.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team.
- Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements:
- Cell phone for making and confirming appointment/assignments.
- Flexibility in order to provide services for pre-scheduled and occasional last-minute patient appointment requests.
- Effective organizational skills; attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in both a team and independent setting.
- Able to travel within a geographical boundary.
- Hold and maintain a valid, non-expired, unrestricted driver's license and insurance coverage.
