About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Second Family Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with ambulation, mobility, and transfers
  • Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist with medication management
  • Prepare and serve meals, and assist with feeding and nutrition
  • Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being
  • Assist clients with light housekeeping, laundry, and linen change
  • Transport clients to appointments and errands, using public transportation or taxis
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care and support
Requirements
  • PSW certificate meeting technical and practical standards
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CPR certificate
  • Clear enhanced Vulnerable sector check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work different shifts, including nights and weekends
