BC Emergency Health Services – Chief Operating Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership on strategic and operational issues in planning, monitoring, and evaluating province-wide emergency health services.
  • Oversee the BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) and Patient Transfer Services (PTS).
  • Work with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the Chief, People, Culture and Diversity (CPCD) to create an effective, integrated service delivery model.
  • Drive system-wide improvements needed to meet the growing demand for emergency services and to ensure consistent and equitable services across BC.

About the Role:

The Chief Operating Officer, BC Emergency Health Services (COO) reports to the Chief Ambulance Officer, Executive Vice President BCEHS and is a member of the BCEHS Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
