As a key member of the Health & Home Care Society of BC, the Chief Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's future. This includes overseeing the development of a brand-new respite centre on the North Shore, set to open in the near future.

The CEO will be responsible for leading all aspects of the organization's operations, including fundraising, program development, financial management, and staff supervision. Reporting to the Board of Directors, they will ensure the organization is fulfilling its mission and serving the community effectively.

A strong advocate for the organization, the CEO will promote awareness of programs and goals, and cultivate and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key external partners, including donors, funders, and community leaders.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, credible, and reliable professional who is passionate about Care BC's mission. They will be a motivational leader who inspires others to engage with Care BC's mission and vision, able to balance short-term needs with long-term planning.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the organization's operations, including fundraising, program development, and financial management
  • Supervising staff and ensuring the organization is fulfilling its mission
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key external partners
  • Providing institutional knowledge and context for the Board of Directors

The CEO will work closely with the Board to guide strategy for the organization, providing leadership and direction to ensure operational priorities and objectives are being met.

As a mentor to staff, the CEO will motivate and empower the team to achieve their best work.
