Job Summary


We are seeking an exceptional leader to fill the role of Chief Operating Officer at BC Emergency Health Services. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational direction of the organization, ensuring the delivery of high-quality emergency health services across British Columbia.



About the Role

  • Provide executive leadership on strategic and operational issues in planning, monitoring, and evaluating province-wide emergency health services.
  • Oversee the BC Ambulance Service and Patient Transfer Services, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief, People, Culture and Diversity to drive system-wide improvements and innovation in emergency health services.
  • Foster a culture of quality and safety, prioritizing patient and employee well-being.


About You

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong background in healthcare leadership, with experience in strategy development, team management, and process improvement. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including staff, patients, and partners.

What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
