Job Title: Gas Station Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Gas Station Supervisor to join our team at Shell Moosomin. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our gas station, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales workers, apprentices, and other staff members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assign Duties: Allocate tasks and responsibilities to staff members to ensure efficient operation of the gas station.
  • Hire and Train: Recruit and train new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Order Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise and supplies to maintain a well-stocked gas station.
  • Authorize Returns: Process returns and exchanges for customers in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Establish Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and minimize overtime.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile and analyze sales data, merchandising reports, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure that stock is properly stored and rotated.
  • Supervise Activities: Oversee the activities of workers to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage Cash: Handle cash transactions and maintain a secure and accurate cash handling system.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or service industry setting.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service.
