About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Advantage Child Care Academy Inc. This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist co-workers in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Support early childhood educators in developing and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assist in keeping accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Submit written observations on children's progress to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
Work Environment

This role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Punctuality, dependability, and efficient interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Flexibility and reliability are required to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Language

The primary language of work is English.
