About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Advantage Child Care Academy Inc. This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Program Implementation: Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Child Engagement: Engage children in activities such as storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts to promote their development.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment, including housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observations and Reporting: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Work Environment

This role involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with repetitive tasks. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of energy and enthusiasm.

Requirements
  • Education: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on early childhood education.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Availability: Availability to work 35 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
