Role Overview



The Project Finance Specialist is responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial progress of projects and providing project management support over the entire project life cycle (from initiation, planning, execution, control, to closing).

Key Responsibilities:


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date budget files and project-related records, including contracts and change orders.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports to evaluate profitability and performance of the project compared to budget.
  • Analyze project variances, provide suggestions for improvement, and prepare variance reports for management.
  • Support project managers with other reporting and documentation needs as required.
  • Calculate and analyze monthly project revenue, gross margin, and cash flow.
  • Generate invoices related to all billable projects.
  • Collaborate with customer accounting teams as necessary.
  • Adhere to operational schedules for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting activities.
  • Mentor junior team members as needed.


You Bring:

The ideal candidate will have:




  • A degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in project finance roles within a project delivery organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A working knowledge of general accounting software, EPICOR would be an asset.
