About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Design Engineer to join our team at Ranger Design. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing innovative products that meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products that meet customer needs and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability and profitability.
  • Create detailed drawings and documentation for products.
  • Manage sourced products and ensure quality control.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and solutions.
  • Work with supply chain and suppliers to develop solutions on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate product launches and ensure all steps of the design process are followed.
  • Provide technical expertise to support program managers.
  • Ensure product quality control and safety standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Design skills and experience in product development.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Project management and manufacturing methods knowledge.
  • Process improvement and technical understanding.
  • Documentation skills and safety management.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and French (asset).
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor, asset).
