Design Engineer Opportunity at Ranger Design

Ranger Design is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative products that meet or exceed industry standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering design, with experience in product development and manufacturing methods. A bachelor's degree in engineering is required, along with excellent communication and project management skills.

About the Role:

  • Design and develop new products, improving existing designs, and ensuring quality control.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability and profitability.
  • Manage sourced products, including testing and documentation.
  • Work with the supply chain and suppliers to develop solutions on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate product launches, ensuring all steps of the design process are followed.
  • Support the program manager by providing technical expertise on designs, time estimates, and products.

Requirements:

  • Design skills, with at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Project management, manufacturing methods, and process improvement knowledge.
  • Excellent documentation skills, safety management, and a bachelors in engineering.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English (bilingualism is an asset).
