Technical Lead Software Engineer

Join the LCBO team as a Technical Lead Software Engineer and take on a key role in shaping the future of our Transportation IT capabilities. As a seasoned expert in Transportation systems, you will oversee the technical direction and evolution of our Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ensuring seamless integration with our distribution network and host systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and oversee the implementation of Transportation system transformation strategies and programs
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to senior IT leaders, business professionals, and software engineers
  • Coach and oversee the technical work of developers, ensuring adherence to industry and LCBO best practices
  • Analyze business information systems requirements to design new applications and data transformations
  • Communicate with stakeholders to define technical specifications and oversee the development of high-quality documentation
  • Solve complex technical problems and design test scenarios to validate testing outcomes
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in distribution and a post-secondary education in Systems, Business processes, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Expert technical understanding of Transportation IT systems, including data flows and business processes
  • Experience with Transportation management systems, including SAP- S/4HANA, Routing Tools, and other related technologies
  • Ability to keep up-to-date with best practices and apply them to solutions
