About the Role

The Director, Train Service Planning Lead will be responsible for overseeing train service planning and coordination within Metrolinx. This key role requires strong leadership skills and expertise in rail operations to ensure efficient and safe train services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement train service plans that meet customer needs and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate train schedules, crew deployments, and maintenance activities.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Transportation Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in rail operations or transportation management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Benefits and Compensation

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $149,197 - $212,019 CAD per annum, as well as comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, and disability coverage. Additionally, you will receive a pension plan and wellness health account.

Location and Work Arrangement

This role is based in Toronto, Ontario, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with both office and remote work options. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of rail operations and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
