We are seeking a skilled Lead Case Manager to join our team at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. As a Lead Case Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that claims are managed effectively and efficiently, while also providing exceptional service to our clients.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and organized individual who is passionate about delivering excellent results. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex claims, developing and implementing case management plans, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of claims.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. A high level of discretion and confidentiality is required when handling sensitive information related to claimants and their cases.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of complex claims, including assessing and prioritizing cases, developing and implementing case management plans, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution of claims.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to claimants, employers, and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including adjudicators, healthcare providers, and other external parties, to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout the claims process.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case activity, including documenting all interactions with claimants, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and development activities to enhance knowledge and skills, staying up-to-date on changes to policies, procedures, and legislation affecting the claims process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, social work, business administration).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a government or regulatory agency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information related to claimants and their cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with case management software and technology, including electronic file management systems.
