Job Title: Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Primary Care
Job Summary:
The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is seeking a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join our team at the Hope to Health Clinic, Research and Innovation Centre in Downtown Eastside. As a member of our interdisciplinary clinical team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide primary and specialty care to patients/clients in the DTES community.
About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and engaging new clients/patients, documenting assessments, and developing and carrying out care plans and interventions in consultation with the healthcare team. You will also participate in team and case management meetings, and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide wrap-around healthcare to clients.
Requirements:
- Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant or RPN registrant
- Two (2) years' recent related experience working with diverse marginalized populations in healthcare settings or community in a primary care, HIV, addictions, and/or mental health setting
- Completion of the Point of Care HIV Testing course and successful completion of the BCCDC Immunization certificate and Narcan Certification
- BCCDC Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Management certification
