Job Summary:

The Renewable Energy Solutions Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining the product category strategy for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Energy Storage. This role will oversee the annual and long-term strategic plans for the category, setting objectives, leveraging consumer insights, and allocating resources across the product portfolio.

The successful candidate will define product requirements and refine them based on customer feedback, market developments, and upcoming regulations/incentives. They will also uncover markets where Generac can uniquely win and craft Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions to target these markets.

This role will establish the product strategy and obtain senior management approval for each product line. The product strategy will serve as guidelines for what products and positioning are acceptable for sales to sell into each of Generac's sales channels.

Responsibilities:
  1. Product Category Strategy Development: Develop and maintain the product category strategy for C&I Energy Storage, overseeing the annual and long-term strategic plans.
  2. Product Requirements Definition: Define product requirements and refine them based on customer feedback, market developments, and upcoming regulations/incentives.
  3. Market Research: Uncover markets where Generac can uniquely win and craft BESS solutions to target these markets.
  4. Product Strategy Establishment: Establish the product strategy and obtain senior management approval for each product line.
  5. Multi-Year Strategic Plan Execution: Develop a multi-year plan driving revenue and market share targets for product lines and categories.
  6. Technical Depth and Communication: Provide technical depth and communication skills to gather use cases, voice of customer, and personas that will translate into requirements for the development team.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
