Dietitian - Nutrition and Food Services Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Dietitian to provide expert nutrition advice and care to patients and clients. As a member of the Nutrition and Food Services team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement nutrition plans that promote optimal health and well-being.
The successful candidate will possess a strong background in human nutrition, with a focus on clinical nutrition and patient care. They will be responsible for providing evidence-informed nutrition advice, conducting assessments, and developing individualized nutrition plans. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

About YouWe are seeking a candidate with a strong educational background in human nutrition, including a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized university. The ideal candidate will also have completed a Dietetic Internship Program and be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists. A minimum of one year of experience as a Dietitian is preferred, with a focus on inpatient clinical nutrition experience.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. They will also have a strong understanding of nutrition principles and practices, with the ability to apply evidence-informed nutrition advice to patient care.
Hours- Long Assignment, Full-Time / 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
- November 2024 to June 2025, approximately 7 months
- Hours may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
$32.94 - $43.42 Hourly
