About the Role

Ferme D.D. Gascon & Fils Inc is seeking a reliable and physically demanding Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care: Disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses, handle animals, mark livestock as proof of ownership, monitor animal health, perform animal grooming activities, and treat livestock health issues.
  • Farm Operations: Feed and tend animals, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, and perform general farm duties.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Experience with milking systems, tractors, farm trucks, and forklifts is an asset.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, physically demanding, handling heavy loads, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliability, and quick learner.
Requirements
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 40 hours per week.
