Livestock Handler

Ferme D.D. Gascon & Fils Inc is seeking a reliable and physically demanding Livestock Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock.

• Disinfect pens, barns, and poultry houses to maintain a clean and healthy environment for our animals.
• Handle and care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health.
• Mark livestock as proof of ownership and supervise milking operations to ensure work is done correctly.
• Treat livestock health issues and perform general farm duties as needed.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, farm trucks, and forklifts.
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle heavy loads and work in all weather conditions.
• Organized and reliable with a strong work ethic.

This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week. The work environment is outdoors, with exposure to dust, dairy, and livestock. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and ability to handle physically demanding work.
