About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Analyst to join our team at Wellington-Altus Private Wealth Inc. as a Digital Infrastructure Specialist. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in IT security and a passion for protecting our organization's digital assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage IT Security Configuration: Oversee the security configuration for enterprise applications, operating systems, and cloud environments to ensure they are secure and compliant with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with IT Teams: Work closely with other teams within IT and the business to deploy security controls in a non-disruptive manner and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Oversee Security Incidents: Direct the immediate response to security incidents, including identifying and mitigating threats, and ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to prevent future incidents.
  • Be the Security Champion: Serve as the security champion for Cloud, SAAS, and physical workstations, providing guidance and support to ensure that all systems are secure and compliant.
  • Enforce Security Policies: Collaborate with system administrators and IT teams to enforce security policies and configurations, and provide recommendations for security enhancements based on industry best practices and evolving threat landscapes.
  • Address Risk and Compliance: Address and resolve risk and compliance-related issues, and maintain alignment with the chosen security framework (e.g., NIST CSF).
  • Provide Security Input: Provide security input into architecture and networking design, deployment, and operation, and perform technical security vendor reviews as part of third-party risk management.
  • Be Available After Hours: Be available after hours to work on high-priority security-related incidents, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years' progressive career experience in technology, with 2+ years' experience within IT Security focused positions.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CEH, CCSP, CISM, CCNA, etc.
  • Skills: Proven knowledge and understanding of how to maintain, operate, and improve MS Defender, MS Purview, O365, MS Intune, vulnerability scanners, email security tools, and an ability to create and deploy IT Security controls for M365, MS Azure, and AWS.
  • Other Requirements: An ability to maintain a SIEM and create meaningful dashboards and alerts, an understanding and implementation of technical security compliance frameworks and standards to ensure alignment with industry regulations, an understanding of Identity and Access Management, proven experience with performing penetration tests and vulnerability management activities, experience in establishing technological governance, an understanding of the Incident Response process, proficiency interacting with internal stakeholders and external vendors, an excellent attention to detail, and exemplary interpersonal and influencing skills.
