Job Title: Sr Security and Risk Advisor

BQ INTERNATIONAL LTD. is seeking a highly skilled Sr Security and Risk Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for analyzing and making recommendations pertaining to information security, incident response, policies, standards, and awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in information security architecture and system design development, ensuring that all activities adhere to the corporate information security principles, standards, and processes.
  2. Assist with the development, maintenance, controls, and enforcement of the corporate directives and practices, pertaining to information security.
  3. Develop and maintain expertise in one or more areas of security threat and incident.
  4. Support security compliance and remediation initiatives for technology, processes, and services to ensure ongoing effectiveness of the information security program, protect the business from unknown exposures, and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  5. Coordinate and/or participate in business security threat and risk assessments, and risk control assessments.
  6. Measure and communicate the risks and potential mitigation strategies to reduce the risk to an acceptable level.
  7. Contribute to business cases for security solutions with a keen focus on risk assessment practices.
  8. Participate in ad hoc consulting services to the business to identify information security requirements based on scope and risk.
Requirements:
  1. University degree or a two-year college diploma in Computer Science or similar discipline.
  2. Completion of one or more of the following Information Security Management professional designations is preferred:
  3. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  4. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  5. Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
  6. Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN)
  7. Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)
  8. Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
  9. Other information security credentials.
  10. Demonstrated record of related continuing education and certifications in the Information Technology field.
  11. Seven years in the IT industry with four years related experience with supporting Information Security issues and controls.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  2. Ability to deal with highly confidential matters.
  3. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  4. Knowledge of security-related policies, procedures, and practices.
  5. Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
  6. Demonstrated strong analytical and investigative skills with regard to moderately complex to complex issues.
  7. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships.
  8. Ability to relate to others with all levels of technical competency.
  9. Strong understanding of security and control frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27002, NIST.
